About Dan Murphy's
Dan Murphy's is Australia's largest chain of big-box drinks stores, with 288 stores stocking hundreds of spirits, beers and wines, and thousands more online. Daniel Francis Murphy opened the first store on Chapel Street, Prahran, in 1952, then knocked through into an empty basement next door to create the Prahran Cellar. The Prahran Cellar returned to its original site in 2016.
