About Lochlander
Lochlander is one of two consumer brands Bakkafrost sells Scottish salmon under, raised, in the company's words, in the waters around the rugged coastline of the Western Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Its smoked fillets are hand-cured with sea salt and demerara sugar and then smoked over chippings from Scotch whisky casks, which the brand says gives an intense but well-balanced smoke with a hint of sweetness. It came to Bakkafrost with The Scottish Salmon Company in 2019.
