About Renner
Renner is the fashion department-store chain of Lojas Renner S.A. The name comes from Antônio Jacob Renner, who started the A. J. Renner manufacturing group in Porto Alegre in 1912 and opened a first retail outlet there in 1922 selling textile goods. After a restructuring at the end of 1991 the company moved from a full department store to one specialised in fashion, and in 2003 it stopped selling housewares and home textiles to sell clothing and accessories only.
