About Sucreries de Bourbon

Sucreries de Bourbon is the consumer sugar brand Tereos sells on Réunion Island, where the group says its sweetmeats at Bois Rouge and Gol carry some 200 years of history. It distributes white, blond and red sugar and other by-products, and Tereos calls it an important part of the island's economy, history and culture. The name comes from one of the island's many historical names, Bourbon, which the group cites as the reason for choosing it.
