About TTD
TTD is the Czech sugar brand of Tereos, whose own description calls it the largest beet processor in the Czech Republic and one of the country's top ten food producers, affiliated with the group since 1992. Tereos says the letters refer to a person as well as a place, and that sugar cubes have been its greatest success: it was the official partner of the 2009 Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union and supplied the sugar cubes used at meetings.

Tereos is a French agricultural cooperative group that processes sugar beet, sugar cane, wheat, corn and alfalfa into sugar, ethanol, alcohol and starch products. Its 2024-25 non-financial statement counts 10,300 cooperative members, 38 production sites in 14 countries and 15,600 employees, and revenues of 5.93 billion euros. Tereos SCA was created in 2018 and has its registered office at La Défense, Courbevoie. Its own history dates the group to the 1932 cooperative distillery at Origny and says the Tereos name was born with the 2002 acquisition of Béghin Say. It names Béghin Say and La Perruche as its flagship brands in France and sells retail sugar under local brands in the Czech Republic, Brazil and Réunion.
