About Teleki
Teleki is the wine brand of Csányi Pincészet, Bonafarm's winery in the Villány region of southern Hungary, and it carries the name of Zsigmond Teleki, who in 1881 took in the Kopár, Csillagvölgy and Hársos slopes while working to replant Europe's phylloxera-ruined vineyards. The estate now farms about 370 hectares and makes some 2.2 million bottles a year, with roughly 40 per cent of the vineyard given to Cabernet varieties and the rest to Kékfrankos, Merlot, Shiraz, Portugieser and Pinot Noir.
