Its company profile gives a founding date of 1 April 1892 in Osaka by Hidezo Kimura and an establishment date of 26 August 1925 (as Kimura Pharmaceuticals; renamed Earth Chemical in 1964). Its Integrated Report 2024 says the Otsuka Group took a capital participation in 1970, and the shareholder table there lists Otsuka Pharmaceutical (9.94%), Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory (8.80%) and Otsuka Chemical (1.80%) among its top ten holders, but Earth remains a separately listed company. Earth's brand page also shows oral-care brands (Shumitect, Polident, Polygrip, Biotene, Aquafresh) that were not added here because the documents opened do not say whether Earth owns them or sells them under licence; the 2024 report says only that Earth Corporation had sales collaboration with Block Drug (1996) and GlaxoSmithKline (2002).
