About Glico Caramel
Glico Caramel is the heart-shaped nutritional caramel that began the company. It was created with glycogen in mind and test-marketed in 1921, then went on sale on 11 February 1922 at Mitsukoshi in Osaka, in a red box showing the Glico logo of a marathon runner with arms raised in victory. Production was revived after the Second World War destroyed the company's factories.
