About Isautier
Isautier is the rum of the oldest distillery on Réunion, founded at Saint-Pierre in 1845 by the brothers Louis and Charles Isautier. Its white rums come from a slow six-hour distillation of fermented fresh cane juice, and the lots held back for ageing spend six to fourteen months in new casks before several more years in older ones, under an oenologist and a cellar master the house names on its own site. The range extends well past straight rum into arrangés steeped with vanilla and island fruit, punches, ready-to-drink Fizz cocktails and cream liqueurs.

About the owner: Isautier
Isautier is a privately held company headquartered in Saint-Pierre, Réunion, founded in 1845. Brandtree records 1 brand under its control.
Rhums et Punchs Isautier is the family firm behind Isautier rum, registered at Saint-Pierre in the south of Réunion. Louis Isautier arrived on the island from France in 1832 and his brother Charles followed two years later; the two bought cane land and founded the business in 1845, and the company says six generations of the family have run it since, which makes it both the oldest rum distillery on Réunion and the oldest business on the island still trading. Rum and rum-based drinks are effectively its whole output, sold as white, amber and aged rums, arrangés, punches, ready-to-drink cocktails and cream liqueurs. Its distillery at Saint-Pierre also houses La Saga du Rhum, the only museum devoted to Réunion rum, which Isautier set up with the island's two other distilleries, Savanna and Rivière du Mât, and opened in 2008.
