About Angostura rum
Angostura rum is the premium range of Angostura, which went into rum in the 1950s: 3, 5, 7 and 15 year old blends, a Single Barrel Reserve, Founders Reserve 1824, named for the year the bitters were created, and Grand Reserve 1919. The company tells the 1919's story through a 1932 fire at Trinidad's Government Rum Bond, after which salvaged charred casks were found to hold a 13-year-old blended rum.
