About Black Cat
Black Cat is the rum SAB calls its celebrated flagship with a rich heritage, and it is the older of the company's two best-known names: it took an international gold medal in the late 1970s, in the same period that the rum then sold as Poker won one and was later renamed Borgoe. It is made at Paramaribo from Surinamese sugarcane molasses and sold in the premium tier of a range that also covers white and flavoured variants. It shares a name with, but has nothing to do with, the South African peanut butter brand.
