About Kinnie
Kinnie is Malta's own bittersweet carbonated soft drink, created by Farsons in 1952 from bitter oranges and a blend of herbs and botanicals, and tied closely enough to Maltese identity that the company calls it a cultural icon. It was relaunched before the summer of 2025 with a new identity and a "Drink Different" platform, a rebrand that won Silver at the 2025/26 World Brand Design awards; the new look then extended to Kinnie Zest, the zero-sugar variant with a stronger orange note, alongside Kinnie Zero. Significant volumes were exported to North Africa during the year.
