About Leffe
Leffe is a Belgian abbey beer named after Notre-Dame de Leffe, an abbey of Premonstratensian canons founded in 1152 whose canons began brewing in 1240. The beer sold today dates from 1952, when Father Abbot Nys and the brewer Albert Lootvoet revived the abbey's brewing tradition. It is now brewed by AB InBev.
