About LEGO DUPLO
DUPLO bricks are twice the linear dimensions of standard LEGO in every direction, which makes them safe for toddlers and still compatible with the standard system. The name comes from the Latin for double. A DUPLO brick has hollow studs that accept standard bricks on top, so a child's earliest sets remain usable as they grow.
