About LEGO Technic
LEGO Technic introduced beams, gears, axles and pins in 1977, allowing working mechanisms rather than static models. Its licensed vehicle sets, some with functioning gearboxes and suspension, are aimed at adults as much as at children. The range replaced studded bricks with beams and pins, a structural change that made larger working models possible.
