About Monte Carlo
Monte Carlo was launched in 1950 and is the brewery's beer for drinkers who want something more assertive: 5.3 per cent alcohol, moderate bitterness, a pronounced cereal aroma and a compact head, presented as versatile enough for almost any food except very light or heavily spiced dishes. In 1984 it took a gold medal with palms at the Monde Selection competition in Madrid, which the company says made it the only beer in the Americas with that distinction.
