Mrs. Paul's began in 1946, when Philadelphia power plant worker Edward Piszek froze unsold deviled crab cakes and started a frozen seafood business with his friend John Paul, naming it after Paul's mother. Campbell Soup bought it in 1982 and Pinnacle Foods in 1996. High Liner Foods bought the brand from Conagra Brands on 30 June 2025.
