About Botot
Botot is a mouthwash with a court pedigree: Edme François Julien Botot, physician to Louis XV, created it in 1755 from plant essences for the king's breath, and Bolton describes it as the first oral hygiene product sold in France. Louis XVI granted it royal approval shortly before the Revolution. The range today is five mouthwashes and four toothpastes. Bolton does not state when it acquired the brand.
