About Definitive Technology
Definitive Technology was founded in Maryland in 1990 by a veteran of the loudspeaker industry and a group of audio engineers, and it became one of the largest premium speaker brands in the United States on the strength of home cinema systems. Its range has since widened to hi-fi loudspeakers, subwoofers, architectural and built-in speakers, weatherproof outdoor models and streaming soundbars carrying Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. It still designs and engineers its speakers at its original acoustic research facility in Owings Mills, Maryland.
