Mark Levinson has made high-fidelity components since 1972 and was founded by a professional musician who set out to build stereo equipment that reproduced his own playing exactly as he had heard it in the studio. The LNP-2 preamplifier was the first product, and the brand has stayed at the top of Harman's luxury audio range since: its work runs from solid-state amplification and the Pure Path signal design to an R-2R ladder volume control, and more recently to headphones.
