About Harman Kardon
Harman Kardon was launched in 1953 by Sidney Harman and Bernard Kardon to combine audio engineering with sophisticated design, and the company that grew out of it still carries the first founder's name. Its Citation II of 1959 was the world's first ultra-wide bandwidth tube amplifier and the Citation XX of 1980 the first high-current amplifier made for the home; the transparent SoundSticks of 1999 won design awards and entered the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. Since 2021 it has supplied the sound system of the Renault Mégane E-TECH.
