About Hamilton
Hamilton was founded in Pennsylvania in 1892 making railroad watches, produced the first electric watch in 1957, and has appeared in hundreds of films. Swatch Group acquired it in 1974 and production moved to Switzerland. Accurate railroad watches mattered because American train schedules depended on them, and standards were set after a fatal collision in 1891.
