About Kratošija
Kratošija is made from the grape of the same name, which Plantaže describes as the oldest Montenegrin variety still grown at the winery. Grapes are hand-harvested in late September and aged for two years in French oak barrels before further ageing in bottle, producing a ruby-red dry red wine at 14 per cent alcohol with aromas of dried plum, blackberry and sweet apricot alongside herbal and toasted-almond notes, silky tannins and a pomegranate-tinged finish. It sits among Plantaže's indigenous-variety wines, distinct from the Vranac-based reds that make up most of the winery's red portfolio.
