About Vranac Pro Corde
Vranac Pro Corde is made from Vranac, the indigenous red grape that anchors Plantaže's portfolio, using a technique the company developed over seven years of research with a French national institute and launched in 1993; Plantaže describes itself as the only winery in the world to have turned that research into a commercial product, aimed at raising the wine's proanthocyanidin content, a natural antioxidant compound in grapes. The current release matures for three years, 35 per cent of it in French oak and the rest in stainless steel, into a full-bodied dry red with dark berry, dried fruit, spice and coffee notes.
