About Val
Val is Plantaže's sparkling wine range, made by traditional bottle fermentation (méthode champenoise) from a blend of Chardonnay and Krstač, the indigenous Montenegrin variety grown exclusively in the Ćemovsko polje vineyard. The base wine matures on fine lees in stainless steel for up to six months, then spends roughly twelve months ageing on yeast in bottle before disgorgement, and is sold in dry (Suvi), Brut and Rosé styles. The dry style shows aromas of ripe apple, pear and white cherry with toasted almond and hazelnut notes, and a fine, persistent mousse.
