About Stari Podrum Vranac
Stari Podrum ("Old Cellar") is a limited-production series Plantaže introduced in 2016 as its most extensively aged Vranac. The wine ages a year in French oak barrique, a further two years in oak barrels, then a year in bottle before release — four years in total. Made from hand-picked grapes harvested in the second half of September, it emerges as a black-cherry-coloured, full-bodied dry red with intense dried plum, cherry and sweet-spice aromas, soft tannins and a long fruity finish carrying vanilla and roasted-coffee notes, priced and positioned as Plantaže's premium archival tier.
