About Sealy
Sealy takes its name from the town of Sealy, Texas, where it started in 1881, and it is Somnigroup's mainstream innerspring line. Its best-known range, Sealy Posturepedic, was introduced in 1950 and engineered to keep the spine aligned across the whole mattress. The company relaunched Posturepedic across North America in 2025 to try to win back the mid-to-entry price band, which had come under unusual pressure.
