About VG
VG, short for Verdens Gang, is Norway's primary news destination, reaching around half the country's population every day with news, sport and entertainment. It was started by figures from the Norwegian resistance movement and put its first edition on the street on 23 June 1945, weeks after the liberation, declaring its independence from political parties, organisations and capital from the outset. VG also stands behind VGTV, the business site E24, Godt, Minmote and Tek.no.
