About Podme
Podme is a Nordic audio streaming service offering podcasts and, since 2025, audiobooks, under both free and subscription models, with more than 400,000 paying subscribers. It was founded in Sweden in 2017, opened in Norway in 2020 and in Finland in 2021, and joined Schibsted Media in 2021. Its business model pays the people who make the shows out of subscription revenue rather than out of advertising, which is what distinguishes it from the larger podcast platforms.
