About Drašković Winery
Drašković Winery is the Swisslion-Takovo wine business, whose wines are made from grapes grown in the Vršac vineyards of the Vojvodina region. The company's own history says Swisslion-Takovo bought the Vršački vinogradi agricultural organisation in 2017 and became owner of one of the region's biggest vineyards, about 600 hectares today. The same page traces written records of Vršac wine back to 1494, but that is the region's history rather than the brand's.

Swisslion-Takovo is a Serbian food and drinks business system whose address is given as Vaska Pope 4, Belgrade. By its own account Swisslion was founded in 1997 with a first factory at Vršac, and the Takovo system joined it in 2004 when PIK Takovo of Gornji Milanovac was privatised, which is how the combined name arose. It describes manufacturing units in Serbia, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, trading branches in several other countries and more than 7,000 employees, across confectionery, baby food, drinks, soups, pasta, ice cream and processed meat. Its site names Rodoljub Drašković as the owner of the system.
