Dunhill is one of the five current global cigarette brands British American Tobacco names on its own product pages, alongside Kent, Lucky Strike, Pall Mall and Rothmans, together accounting for roughly half of the group's worldwide cigarette sales. The tobacco business traces to the same Alfred Dunhill name as the Richemont-owned Dunhill luxury goods and menswear house, but the two have been under separate ownership since the tobacco rights passed to Rothmans International in 1993, ahead of Rothmans joining BAT in 1999; the luxury house is unrelated to this cigarette brand and is owned by Richemont.
