About Elbtal
Elbtal is a frozen-vegetable brand from Lommatzsch in Saxony, which FRoSTA describes as the best-known frozen-vegetable brand of the GDR. FRoSTA bought Elbtal Tiefkühlkost from the Treuhandanstalt in 1990. The Lommatzsch plant, in the Lommatzscher Pflege between Leipzig and Dresden, freezes contract-grown spinach, peas, beans, carrots and cabbage, and FRoSTA offers Elbtal to retailers as a secondary vegetable brand alongside the private labels it makes for them.
