About La Chouffe
La Chouffe is the blond beer of the Brasserie d'Achouffe in the Ardennes, with the dark Mc Chouffe sold alongside it in a 75 cl bottle. Two brothers-in-law, Pierre Gobron and Chris Bauweraerts, began brewing in a garage in the late 1970s and produced the first 49-litre brew on 27 August 1982. Duvel Moortgat took over the brewery in September 2006.
