About Liefmans
Liefmans is a Flemish brewery brand from Oudenaarde. Duvel Moortgat says the brewery's history goes back to 1679 and that the brewer Rosa Merckx led it as master brewer for 46 years. On 24 June 2008 Duvel Moortgat took over the activities of the bankrupt Brouwerij Liefmans and Liefmans Breweries, acquiring the brand names and recipes. The Liefmans Craft Blenders range is sold under the same name.
