About Tamarèin
Tamarèin is Senior & Co.'s tamarind liqueur, bottled at 25 per cent alcohol in 375ml and 750ml sizes and sold mainly as a base for cocktails. The distillery says it is inspired by warapa, the local Curaçao tamarind juice, and built on an essence of the fruit, which grows on the island inside a brittle pod around a sweet-sour pulp.

About the owner: Senior & Co.
Senior & Co. is a privately held company headquartered in Willemstad, Curaçao, founded in 1896. Brandtree records 3 brands under its control.
Senior & Co. distils curaçao liqueur on Curaçao, at the nineteenth-century country house Landhuis Chobolobo in Willemstad. It dates itself to 1896, when Haim Mendes Chumaceiro and his business partner Edgar Senior were running a drugstore on the island called the Botika Excelsior and Chumaceiro began making an aperitif to a family recipe, sold first as Senior's Curacao Tonic and soon renamed Senior's Curacao Liqueur. Production shrank to his widow's house after his death around 1900, and the company as it now stands was incorporated in 1945, when descendants of the Senior and Chumaceiro families and several of the island's larger businesses took shares in it and bought the recipe from the widow. It still makes its liqueur from the dried peel of the laraha, the bitter orange that Valencia stock turned into in Curaçao's dry heat, and runs the distillery as a tourist attraction with guided tours and a cocktail workshop.
