About Seznam Search
Seznam Search is the search engine of Seznam.cz, a Czech company. Seznam began in 1996 as a catalogue of websites with keyword search and introduced a full-text search called Kompas in 1997, but its own history dates the search engine proper to March 2005, when a four-member team launched it on a database of 30 million Czech documents. The history page says it became the most used search engine on the Czech internet by 2007.
