About Sunoko
Sunoko is MK Group's sugar brand, sold as fine white crystal sugar alongside natural brown sugar and powdered sugar, produced at factories in Vrbas (whose Bačka sugar mill dates to 1912) and Pećinci (founded 1976) with a combined daily processing capacity of over 15,000 tonnes of sugar beet. MK Group has run sugar factories at Pećinci, Vrbas and Kovačica since 2000, building Sunoko into the largest sugar producer in the wider region and, the company says, the reason Serbia is the only Balkan country self-sufficient in sugar, with capacity to grow exports further.
