About Alexandria
Alexandria is a wine line Tikveš established in 1979, sold in white, red and rosé styles and expanded with a premium Alexandria Cuvée tier in 2008. The white is made from Riesling; the red Cuvée blends Vranec, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon into an intense ruby wine with cherry, plum, raspberry and blackcurrant fruit alongside notes of dried tobacco, smoke, black pepper and cinnamon; the rosé blends the black grapes Muscat Hamburg, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon into a peach-coloured wine with tropical grapefruit and mango aromas over quince, melon and ginger. It sits in the middle of Tikveš's range, above its everyday wines and below its single-vineyard Domaine bottlings.
