Demänovka is a Slovak herbal bitter liqueur made by macerating fourteen selected herbs and spices in Slovak alcohol, ageing the result with sub-Tatra spring water and rounding it with bee honey, giving the core Bitter expression, bottled at 38% ABV, a characteristically bitter, dry finish with gentle honey undertones. Other variants add cranberry, orange juice with cocoa extract, or traditional spices. Its distilling tradition traces to the Armin Stark refinery founded in Liptovský Mikuláš in 1867, and the company runs a visitor shop at the same site.
