About Imperial Leather
Imperial Leather is a British soap and shower brand whose first bar soap was launched by Cussons in 1930. Its scent draws on Eau de Cologne Imperiale Russe, a fragrance from the London perfumer Bayley's of Bond Street, which Cussons bought in 1921. It reached PZ Cussons with its purchase of Cussons in the 1970s. In the 2026 financial year PZ Cussons refreshed its formats and packaging and launched the Right Royal Lather campaign with Tom Read Wilson.
