About Philips Avent
Philips Avent is the baby feeding brand that began in 1984, when Edward Atkin, a new parent frustrated by narrow bottles and hard teats, launched a redesigned bottle and silicone teat. It is now the core of Philips' Mother and Child Care business, 11 per cent of Personal Health sales, covering breast pumps, bottles, sterilisers, baby monitors and the Pregnancy+ app. In 2025 Philips introduced the Avent Hands-Free Breast Pump, and its Ultra Soother pacifiers moved to 80 per cent plant-based materials.
