About Lukas

Lukas goes back to 1862, when Dr Schönfeld converted his father's art shop into Düsseldorf's first industrial colour factory. The name comes from St. Luke, patron saint of painters, and F.I.L.A. says the company kept close ties with the city's artists and Academy of Fine Arts. It came into F.I.L.A. with the Daler-Rowney Lukas Group in 2016.
