About Nutella

Nutella descends from the Giandujot, a hazelnut and cocoa loaf Pietro Ferrero made in 1946 when cocoa was scarce and hazelnuts were plentiful in Piedmont, and it took its present spreadable form and name in 1964. It is the largest hazelnut spread in the world and consumes a substantial share of the global hazelnut crop.
