About Vespa
The first Vespa was produced at Pontedera in 1946 and put straight on the market, and Piaggio counts more than 20 million built since, calling it one of the most recognisable icons of Italian style and technology anywhere. The 2025 range added the Granturismo, whose 310cc single-cylinder engine is the most powerful ever fitted to a Vespa. Rome is to host the brand's eightieth anniversary in 2026. Vespas are also assembled in India, Vietnam and Indonesia.
