About Krups
Krups was founded in Germany in 1846 making scales and moved into coffee grinders and machines. Groupe SEB acquired it in 2001, and it makes machines for several capsule coffee systems including Nespresso and Dolce Gusto. Building machines for competing capsule systems is common, because the system owners rarely manufacture the hardware themselves.
