Goldberg is a lager Nigerian Breweries acquired rather than created. It came with Sona Systems Associates Business Management Limited, bought on 17 October 2011 together with breweries at Ota and Kaduna and a malting plant. The company added a darker variant, Goldberg Black, in 2023, and still brews the brand alongside Star and Gulder.
