About Davert
Davert was founded by Rainer Welke in 1984 and was one of the pioneers of organic food in Germany, making organic dry goods such as rice, pulses, grains, seeds, breakfast cereals and nut butters under its own name and for retailers' own labels. Midsona bought the whole company in 2018 for about €48.5 million, its first large step outside the Nordic region. The business now trades as Midsona Deutschland in Ascheberg, and in 2025 Davert concentrated on ready meals.
