About Lux
Lux began in 1899 as Sunlight Flakes, a laundry soap from Lever Brothers, and was relaunched in 1925 as a beauty soap advertised with film actresses, one of the earliest sustained uses of celebrity endorsement in consumer goods. It remains one of Unilever's largest brands in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

How often Unilever names Lux in its annual report
A plain count of the times the name appears in the text of each annual report, not counting the start of a sentence. A brand that an owner writes about more is usually one it treats as central.
Trademark record for Lux
The USPTO record for the Lux mark lists CONOPCO, INC. as the owner of record (serial number 72058800). A trademark is often held by a group company rather than the listed parent, so the registrant's name can differ from the owner named above.[2]
